Worst dryer I have ever owned. This thing is four years old and it's been repaired four times. Switch has gone bad on the front door and another switch has gone bad on the start button. Poor workmanship. Don't buy it unless you want to spend a lot of money on repairs

My family and I have been buying GE products, trusting in their quality for years. When my old GE washer and dryer needed replacement I knew I would shop GE. Unfortunately, I was disappointed in my purchases. The dryer works well, except there is no low heat cycle. Old dryer had 3 heat cycles and one air fluff(no heat).

It is not nicest dryer I have used, but a good one that will work for a first time home owner. It takes a while to dry your clothes and the finished sound is so loud and hurtful to the ears. Not sure if mine has a bug that is causing it to act that way, but it made me panic the first time I heard it.

The end of cycle buzzer is awful

Be prepared to jump out of your skin when the dryer is done. There is a 5-alarm buzzer that goes on forever. This washer is just off my kitchen, and there is no on-off button so you are stuck with that noise. I contacted GE to see if a service person could cut the wire for that buzzer but they said no I am stuck with it. They also dont talk returns, as I bought it at Home Depot and they have a no return policy also. Other than that they dryer itself is just fine, its just that the siren was meant for people who have the laundry in the basement maybe. Ugh.

I love how efficient and quiet this dryer is. I didn't want anything fancy, just something that worked. The only 2 things I don't like about it are extremely minor and are 1. The website I bought it from stated it had Adjustable End-of-Cycle Signal, but there is no option to turn the End-of-Cycle Signal off at all. This makes it so that I cannot dry a load while someone is sleeping because it's very loud in my house. 2. The lint trap, while extremely easy to clean, seems to collect pet hair and lint on top of the handle, so when you open the dryer a small ball of hair/lint falls out onto the floor. Like I said, these are non issues and probably only bother me. LOL.
