Great Buy! The Price Is So Worth Its Benefits

We've had this freezer for about a year now, and it's run beautifully. The purchase was relatively inexpensive but has saved us massive amounts of money on sale items, particularly meats. I bought wire baskets which has helped keep the clutter down, though I hope soon to buy some that maximize the space even more since the ones I bought don't stack as efficiently as I would like. I'm about defrost it for the first time but I don't anticipate a major problem in doing that. It will give me an excuse to reorganize and take inventory on the items I've forgotten about. Overall, I would rate this purchase as one of the better ones we've made in our 53 years of marriage and would highly recommend this product!

Perfect size for where i wanted it to be placed in my garage, Not too big or small for a family of 3. It holds a good amount of items for a compact freezer. I like the basket for ice cream and small bags of frozen vegetables. Very efficient product for the cost. It's quiet, does the job well and worth every penny. I purchase a warranty.

My 5 Cu Ft GE chest freezer

My freezer is quiet and economical, only issue is the basket prevents the lid from sealing properly causing a frequent buildup of ice around the top. Is there a basket with a thinner retainer available?

Very simple product, energy efficient and holds a lot more than I expected. Is a great size for a smaller living space, as I have this in the kitchen of my apartment and use the freezer's surface as additional counter space most of the time. Freezer noise & vibration is not loud, but can sometimes be noticeable.

This is third GE appliance I've purchased this year. I've now had this approximately 4 months and I'm happy with the performance. I've not noticed any dramatic increase in my electric bill and the freezer seems very efficient in regulating the temperature. Thus far, I've been very pleased with all my GE appliances.

Our new freezer is quiet, easy to move when empty, and works flawlessly. I bought some wire baskets that I use to store like items i our freezer. That way I don't have to dig through mounds of food to find what I'm looking for. The system and the freezer are working great

It fits perfectly in the spot I have for it. It maintains its temperature. I can stock up on sales.
As nice as it is to have, the inside could be more convenient. It's half deep, then a small shelf up, then a small basket at the top. If what you're looking for is at the bottom you just about have to learn in and dig around to find it. Still like it.

So far the 5 cf GE freezer is working fine. I™™m sorry that it isn™™t on wheels. I installed it on 2 wooden dollies but it makes the bottom of the freezer hard to reach hfor this 5™™1™ lady.
I™™ve put small packets of frozen meat in bags so I can reach and pull them up when I want some meat. The sliding basket works fine, I could use a second one.

I would have given this 5 stars except that it only came with one basket and no rail on the right hand side to keep items from falling into the left side (previous model did have this feature). This makes it difficult to organize food or keep much in it. GE wants almost $100 to get an additional basket. I would not purchase again.
